Welcome to the gîte Vignes et Mines (the Vineyards and Mines holiday home)

Discover our authentic miners’ house transformed into a charming gîte at the heart of the site known as the Corniche Angevine.

A place full of history

Built in the 19th century to accommodate the coal miners of Chalonnes-sur-Loire, this traditional house was inhabited by Chalonnaise families before we gave it a second life. Loving the heritage of Anjou, we renovated it with care, enhancing it with period furniture.

Thanks to its 4 bedrooms, the gîte Vignes et Mines is the ideal place to live, accommodating up to 8 people for holidays or short stays with family, friends or colleagues in the area around Angers, Cholet and Nantes.”

Caring hosts

We are Hélène and Eric, a couple of epicureans, eager to share with you our love of the region and its land.

If we had to introduce ourselves in a few words, we would say that Hélène is in the habit of pampering her guests. Formerly in charge of the development of tourism in this region and a domestic goddess, she speaks English and Spanish and knows Anjou and its secrets like the back of her hand. As for Eric, he is passionate about sport, gardening and ornithology. He has transformed this space into an ecological haven conducive to well-being.

Our affiliations

Preservation of biodiversity and gentle mobility are highlighted within our gîte, accredited as a bird refuge with the LPO (league for the preservation of birds) and accommodation for your cycling trips (with Accueil Vélo).

Our partners

In order to make unforgettable moments of your holidays, short stays and weekends we have, over the years, developed various partnerships with those involved in local tourism and with nearby producers.
